Yumi-Ulrich story 6

A Series of Many Events, A Yumi/Ulrich Story.  I do not own Code Lyoko.
Ch. 6-The Fights

When dinner was ready she came down the steps with an extra spring in her step.  Almost a little too big of a spring.  She almost bounced down off the staircase.  
“Why are you so happy today?”  Her father questioned.  
“I bet its Ulrich!  Oh Ulrich I wuv you! Ha ha ha ha!”  Hiroki teased her.  She just shrugged and ate.
“Oh its not just today,  I’ve noticed she has been coming home quite happy for about a week.  Care to explain?”  Her mother gave her a look.
“Hiroki can be right sometimes.” She was still smiling.  Her mother started smiling.  Her dad and Hiroki just looked at her with blank expressions.
“Oh I’m happy for you Yumi!  And Ulrich is such a fine young man!”  He father got the idea.
“Humph.  I would prefer you date a Japanese man or not even be dating at all.”  Yumi’s smile disappeared.
“Shouldn’t I choose who I want to date?  Or is that just you be over-protective again?”
“I don’t fully trust him or any other boy.”
“So that means I can’t!  I’m not allowed to date any guy that you can’t trust?!”
“I just said I don’t trust them cause I didn’t raise them that’s all.”
“You don’t even know him that well!  You don’t hang out with him! I do and I know I can trust him.  And about me dating another Japanese!  What a Japanese boy can love me more than Ulrich can?! Is that it?!”  Hiroki and Yumi’s mom just watched not knowing what to say.
“Love?! Your too young for love!”
“Am I suppose to wait till I’m 20 to be allowed to love!  I don’t think so!  I’m not a little girl any more!  I can take care of myself and I should be able to date any one I want to.”
“If you’re such an expert with love, tell me what it means.”
“It means being able to get over your differences and dislikes to trust one another!  So obviously you don’t love me because you can’t trust me to choose whomever I want to date or not!!!”  She stormed out the kitchen and into her room.  She slammed the door and buried her head into her pillow as she let silent tears fall.  She didn’t want to be bothered so she locked the door.  Laying down on her bed she thought of calling Ulrich but she didn’t.  She just fell asleep.
~The Next Day~
Yumi got ready for school earlier than usual.  She didn’t want to see her father so she would leave early.  She quietly ate, scribbled a note and headed out the door.  She didn’t know what she would do so early in the morning.  She could go into Ulrich and Odd’s room but they would be sleeping.  She would go see if Jeremi was awake still which he probably was.  And she was right.  The door was open and Jeremi was typing on the computer.
“You shouldn’t stay up so late Jeremi it isn’t good for you.”  He was shocked to see her here before 5:00 in the morning.
“What are you doing here?”  She looked down.
“My dad and I got in a really big fight last night and I didn’t want to see him.”
“I see.  What was the fight about?”
“Ulrich.”  He stopped typing and turned around.
“Ulrich?”  She nodded.  She walked over to the computer.
“He just doesn’t trust me that I can make a good choice for a boyfriend and he got me really mad at some of the things he said.”  
“Well why don’t you go to Aelita’s room.  You would get into less trouble if you got caught in her room.” He turned back to the computer.
“Yeah you’re right.  Oh and Jeremi,”  He looked up. “Please don’t tell Ulrich.  I don’t want this to go to his head and try everything to impress my dad.  Okay?”
“Sure I won’t tell him or Odd.  You know how he can be.”  She smiled.
“Thanks” she said as she closed the door.  She was walking by Ulrich’s room when he walked out bumping into her.
“Yumi?  What are you doing here so early.”  What should she tell him, her dad doesn’t think Ulrich is good enough for her.  
“Oh nothing.”
“Yeah right.”
“No really it’s nothing.” He gave her a look.
“You don’t lie that well, you know that.”  She rolled her eyes.
“Okay you win.” She sighed  “Me and my dad got in a big fight and I’m still mad at him so I came here so I wouldn’t see him.”
“At almost five in the morning?”
“Yep. And what are you doing up so early?”
“To make Jeremi go to sleep.  If I don’t do it who will?” She laughed a little.
“Your right. Well bye I’m gonna go see Aelita.”
“Okay but hey if you want to talk about you and your dad, I’m all yours.”
“You better be.” She said with a playful grin on her face.  He laughed.  She went and gave him a hug.  She was a little tired so resting on him felt good.  
“You tired?”
“A little.”
“Here.”  He pulled out his phone and pushed some numbers then put it to his ear. “Jeremi go to sleep. Now!” and hung up.  “Come on.” He lead her into his room shut and locked the door.  Yumi looked around the room.
“Not bad.”
“Yeah but I wish Odd would clean up his side of the room once in a while.”  She smiled.  “You can lay down if you want.  We still a couple of hours before even breakfast starts.”
“Thanks.”  He sat at the end of the bed.  She reached over and pulled on his arm gently.  “Lay down with me.”  He smiled.  He pulled the sheets around them and wrapped his arms around her. She snuggled her head into his chest resting her hands on his shoulders. Ulrich stared at the ceiling.  He wanted to stay awake and watch Yumi sleep.  He looked at her with loving eyes.  Her eyelids slowly closing.  He watched her shortly for he too fell into slumber.
Odd woke up to his cellphone alarm buzzing off.  He was about to wake up Ulrich when he noticed who was on top of him.  He looked closer.  He let out a sigh of relief when he saw that they had clothes on.
“This is gotta be good!”  He whispered.  He pulled out his camera.  He first took a picture of it with his cellphone.  Then he took a picture with the camera.  He cringed when the flash went off.  He forgot that the couple could single handily kick his butt but with both of them together could be pretty ugly.  
“Odd? What are you doing?”  Yumi woke up.  Her eyes widened at the camera.  “ODD!”  Now this woke up Ulrich.
“What is it baby?  What did Odd do?”
“Oh nothing! Nothing at all!”
“He took a picture of us sleeping.”  He closed his eyes.
“Odd what are you planning to do with that picture.”
“I was-”
“What’s all the noise!”  Came a big loud voice outside the door.
“Oh shoot!  It’s Jim!  We’ll all get suspended if Yumi gets caught in here!”  Ulrich whispered loudly.
“Unlock this door immediately! Stern!  Della Robbia!”
“What do we do now?!” Odd said.
“Follow my lead.  Let me see that book.  Ulrich unlock the door.” He looked at her as if she were crazy.  “Just do it! Odd come here”  They shrugged and did what they were told.
“About time you-”  Jim sees Yumi and Odd on the floor with a math book.
“Hey Jim!  Sorry about the delay!  I was trying to get Ulrich and Odd to get this math problem right, but I don’t think they understand.  I tried hard Jim but some people just can’t be taught.”  She said while slowly shaking her head.
“Well it’s good to see you trying to get this two to sharpen up those noggins of theirs Yumi!  See if the world was filled with people like Yumi,  there wouldn’t any wars or problems with pollution or global warming!  Keep up the good work!”  With that he left and Ulrich gazed at her.
“You cease to amaze me Yumi.”  Yumi smiled.
“Yeah nice thinking!  You just saved our rear ends there!  But, you’re also the one who put them in danger!” Odd yelled in her face.
“Hey!  Don’t yell at her like that!  Besides I let her in.”
“Man I know you two are really into each other but risking suspension here isn’t good.”
“Well we risk our lives almost everyday standing up to Xana, and since when are you so serious?” Yumi  never knew Odd could be serious.
“Whatever can you get out? I need to change so I can go eat! I’m starved!”  Yumi walked out the door.
“See ya I’ll be at the bench!” Yumi said cheerfully.
“Okay bye Yumi.”  Ulrich gave her a quick kiss and shut the door.
“So how long was she in here?”
“Why do-  oh no we didn’t do anything like that! Odd how can you think that way!”
“I’m just saying since you two are madly in love you might of ya know.”
“Odd we didn’t do anything like that. I was going to make Jeremi go to bed and she was just there.  She and her dad are fighting about something so she came to school early.  She seemed tired so I let her come in and sleep.  She the one who asked me to lay down with her.”
“Oh I get it because you can’t tell her no. I see”  Odd looked over and saw Ulrich looking at the ground.  “Wait, you wanted to lay with her okay.  That’s a lot better than you can’t telling her no.”  Ulrich just rolled his eyes.  
They were heading out to the cafeteria when he saw Sissi sitting by Yumi. *Oh boy this can’t be good*  
“Hey Odd go ahead. I’ll catch up.” Odd saw where he was walking over to.  
“Good call.”  When Ulrich was getting closer to Yumi and Sissi, The weirdest thing happened.  They were laughing and with each other.
